INSTRUCTIONS FOR REVIEWERS
The JSPS values the important role played by referees in
maintaining the scientific integrity of the Journal. We are ever so thankful
to all reviewers who up to this date made a significant contribution towards
helping our editors in the process of judging manuscript's suitability for
publication. If you have been asked to serve as a referee for this journal
please consider the following guidelines:
As a reviewer you should attempt to be impartial when evaluating a manuscript
Peer-reviewers must also consider any potential conflicts of interest that could bias their opinion of a given manuscript
All reviewers are expected to spend the appropriate amount of time required for review of manuscripts
Manuscripts should be reviewed according to policies and time frames established by the JSPS
Reviewers should not hesitate in disclosing conflict of interests, financial or otherwise, relating to any particular manuscript
PEER-REVIEWERS SELECTION PROCESS
As part of the selection process, reviewers are required to disclose to the editors any current or former affiliation with any organization having a personal or financial interest in the subject matter discussed in submitted manuscripts.
PEER-REVIEW PROCESS
The Journal of Social and Psychological Sciences values the importance of securing both confidentiality and scientific integrity of the peer-review process. All papers undergo a rigorous peer review process through an initial editorial screening and submission to anonymous refereeing by three independent referees.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
Under no circumstances authors should attempt to communicate directly with associate editors or peer-reviewers.
If a reviewer suspects plagiarism or fraudulent results from a particular manuscript, he or she should be report such incident promptly to the editor.
Should reviewers find themselves in a conflict of interest situation, they must report their inability to complete the paper to a member of the Editorial Board.
DEADLINES
Referees are generally given a period of two to four weeks to provide feedback regarding submitted manuscripts. This deadline can be extended to a six weeks under exceptional circumstances. Upon completion, Referee's Feedback Form should be submitted via email to referees@jspsciences.org
